Through Workshops, Consultancy and Performance, Kevin's aim is to assist you as a conductor or performer to achieve your potential, while at the same time ensuring you have fun in the process. After all, music is part of the entertainment business. It is entertainment for both the audience and for the performers.
With many years of experience in a wide variety of musical disciplines, Kevin O'Carroll Music is almost a one stop shop for classical music consultancy services. With a background in brass playing and huge experience in conducting choirs, orchestras and musical theatre, Kevin is also one of very few in Ireland with a performance Master of Music in Choral Conducting.
Now regularly employed as an adjudicator at music festivals and also as an examiner with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Kevin knows what makes an excellent performance. As a performer himself with choirs and orchestras Kevin also knows the challenges faced by live performance. He is therefore the ideal person to contact when faced with musical challenges.
Kevin has written the first book on Choral Conducting which is specifically for the Irish conductor. The book deals with the situation as we find it on the ground and is suitable for new or experienced conductors.Kevin uses it as a text book for his various conducting students.
